Chapter 1 - Vocabulary
Words - Meaning

Ambled- A slow and relaxed walk.

Assuaged- To provide relief from something painful.

Beadle- Sometimes spelled "bedel".

Begrudge- To be unwilling to give or pay something.

Corsets- Is a garment worn to mold and shape and support the body.

Customary- Conforming to what is usual or normal.

Descendants- A person, animal, or plant related to one that lived in the past.

Eaves- The part of a roof that projects beyond the wall that supports it.

Repertoire- Dramatic material that is known and can be performed.

Unsullied- Something that is has been basically untouched or unused.

Picket- A group of people protesting outside the building.

Flivver- A small or cheap car.

Intimidation- To create a feeling of fear.

Taciturn- Always silent.

Spittoon- Is a container made for spitting into, especially by users of chewing.

Malevolent: Having a harmful or evil effect or influence.

Judiciously- Showing wisdom, good sense, or discretion

Misdemeanour- Or misdemeanour, in many common law legal systems, is a "lesser" criminal act.

okay,quite clear and I can understand,but don't just type out.That is a lot of words you found.^^
